TEAM ELITE CARES
Over the 20 combined years in the sports chiropractic, rehabilitation, and training profession, Dr. CJ Epstein and Dr. Jenn Reiner-Marcello noticed a significant and steady increase of overuse injuries in the youth athletic population. These were preventative injuries attributed to poor training, improper recovery, early sport specialization, incomplete rehabilitation from a previous injury, or misinformation provided to parents and coaches. Not willing to sit idle, Dr. Epstein created Team Elite Cares, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization to address the noticeable gap in quality education, treatment, and training of youth athletes.
Dr. Epstein and Dr. Reiner-Marcello hold themselves to the highest of standards with regard to professionalism, knowledge, and commitment to providing the most recent evidence-led therapies. Both doctors are unique in that their undergraduate and post-graduate training includes sports injury evaluation and treatment, biomechanics, rehabilitation, reconditioning, strength and conditioning, and human performance optimization. Possessing extensive knowledge in the area of long-term athlete development coupled with practical experience along the continuum of rehab to training, provides them with a distinctive insight into working with youth athletes.
These clinicians strive to assist in the advancement of youth athletes through proper training, preventative care, treatment, and most importantly education. Their trusted network of colleagues includes sports nutritionists, orthopods, physical therapists, performance coaches, sports acupuncturists, and massage therapists because they realize it’s a team effort to provide the best service to children and young adults, parents, and coaches. This systematic and specific approach to performance can make a difference in the current structure of youth athletic development.
Dr. Epstein and Dr. Reiner-Marcello value their community and look forward to working with all who share in their love of sports and the advancement of youth athletics.
